I have been living for 3 months in Sydney, Australia and I discovered the Opal transport card. With this card you can use buses, trains and tramways everywhere in and around Sydney city. With the mobile app, you can plan your trips, know schedules and manage your subscription. But unfornutately I found the ergonomy really poor and there were too many steps to find the best way for a trip, especially when you’re a newcomer and you don’t know the different stations.
Then, I proposed to redesign the mobile app and improve the user experience with a stations sliders. In that way you don’t need to use the keyboard at all and can access to any stations of the area. Also I used modern typos and proposed bright colors still using the OPAL blue guidelines.
